PKZ – Professional Driver Profile is a 21-digit number required to begin courses leading to the qualification of a professional driver. You should obtain this number before starting the course for KOD95. To obtain it, you must meet the formal requirements specified in the article below.
The authority responsible for issuing the PKZ number is the District Office (Department of Transportation)appropriate for the driver’s place of residence.
For foreigners who have been staying in Poland for less than 185 days, or who work for a Polish transport company and travel outside the EU at least once every six months, the PKZ can be issued by any Department of Transportation in Poland.
To obtain a PKZ number, the following documents must be presented:
- valid psychotechnical and medical tests,
- a passport-sized photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm),
- a completed application form,
- and proof of payment for the document issuance fee of 100.50 PLN (or 150 PLN if you do KKK document)
Most Departments of Transportation require payment before issuing the PKZ number. However, some offices allow payment after completing the course, though this requires an additional visit to the office’s cashier.
The last digit of the PKZ number indicates the type of course:
- 1 – Initial Driver CPC e.g. 12345678910111213189 1
- 2 – Accelerated Initial Driver CPC, e.g. 98765432112345678900 2
- 3 – Supplementary Initial Driver CPC, e.g. 10111213141516171819 3
- 4 – Accelerated Supplementary Initial Diver CPC, e.g. 191817161514131211 4
- 5 – Periodic Driver CPC, e.g. 91817161514131211123 5
